New Pavements

New pavements typically require a detailed geotechnical investigation and report during the design phase. This assists the design engineer in addressing problem soil conditions which may be identified. Anticipated solutions and remediation costs can be structured in advance of the field operations.

Existing Pavements

Existing pavements requiring maintenance or reconstruction often need investigation. We furnish technicians and equipment to obtain samples of bituminous concrete, Portland cement concrete, stabilized base courses, aggregates, and other materials comprising the pavement section. Supporting subgrade soils are sampled, classified and the necessary laboratory testing performed.

Newly Constructed Pavements

Newly constructed pavements often require analysis. Pavement materials are cored to determine material types and thickness, and then analyzed and tested for compliance with project specifications.
